As the Head of Cards Operations, you will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of all card-related operational processes. This includes oversight of card issuance, transaction processing, cost efficiency, fraud operations, dispute management, scheme compliance, and partnerships with processors, card networks, and card manufacturers. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with the operational demands of digital-native financial services and thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Ensure the smooth and timely cards issuance and re-issuance
- Create, improve, maintain, and monitor relationships with Card Schemes
- Handle Clients' Card requests
- Improve existing and suggest new card features
- Coordinate, monitor, and ensure the technical implementation with card processors and other Card Management systems
- Assist the BI team in identifying and structuring data from various vendors related to card transactions
- Work closely with the COO to deliver and maintain a competitive card product and new features for our clients
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in banking or fintech, with a strong background in card operations
- Deep knowledge of card processing systems, regulations, and operational workflows
- Proven leadership experience managing large operational teams
- Strong understanding of card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Experience with real-time card monitoring of global processors and implementation/migration
- Experience with principal membership and understanding of reward schemes
- Experience with VISA Direct and credit cards
- Knowledge of SQL and core banking systems
