We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Product team, with a focus on data quality investigation and analytics. This role will support the improvement of FXC’s core data products and has significant room for expansion. Every day, you will be interacting with and learning from excellent Product Managers, Data Scientists, Software Developers and QA Engineers in a friendly, collegial environment.
What success looks like in this role:
- Working with large‑scale time series data & custom datasets from FXC’s strategic partners and clients
- Investigate data anomalies to identify and diagnose data inconsistencies and/or errors
- Help improve outlier detection systems and automated data tests
- Work with FXC Product Managers, Designers and Software Engineers to productionalise successful prototypes
About the Product team:
The Product team consists of 11 members, including Product Managers, Product Designers and Data/Product Analysts. The Product team is responsible for developing FXC’s core products, which are a mix of datasets, web platforms and APIs, along with new product proof‑of‑concepts. We work closely with the Technology, Commercial and Content teams and meet up regularly in person at our London office.
You should apply if you can confidently:
- Work with Python and/or R, SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Work with ML and data analysis packages, such as numpy, pandas, scikit‑learn
- Use statistics (including Bayesian statistics)
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, simplifying the complex whenever necessary
- Take ownership of your development and approach new challenges with an eager, self‑starting attitude
- Write and speak with clarity, ensuring your message is understood by every audience
It’s a bonus if you also have:
- Experience with AI/LLMs including ChatGPT, Bard, LLaMa
- Familiarity with Javascript
- Experience with team collaboration software (issue tracking, project management, document sharing, etc.)
- Experience working with ETL/ELT workflows, schedulers (Airflow), and event‑based triggers
