Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform to lead the design, delivery, and governance of enterprise-grade solutions. As a Solution Architect, you will partner with business and IT stakeholders to define solution roadmaps, lead technical design, enforce governance, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end design of solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and SharePoint).
- Define solution architecture that integrates Power Platform with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Copilot, and Azure services.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and performant architectures.
- Provide technical leadership across discovery, design, build, test, and deployment phases.
Governance & Best Practice
- Establish and enforce Power Platform governance frameworks including environment strategy, security roles, DLP policies, and monitoring.
- Define and implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) best practices.
- Drive solution standardisation, reusable components, and adoption of best practices across teams.
Innovation & R&D
- Stay up to date with emerging Microsoft technologies, including Copilot, AI Builder, and Azure AI services.
- Evaluate and recommend new features and innovations to improve solutions and drive client value.
- Act as a champion for continuous improvement and innovation within the architecture community.
Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as the primary architectural authority on Power Platform projects.
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to define strategic roadmaps.
- Advise stakeholders on solution feasibility, cost estimation, and technical risk management.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting solution progress, risks, and opportunities.
Pre-Sales & Business Development
- Support commercial teams in shaping solutions and responding to RFPs, proposals, and bids.
- Lead client workshops, proofs of concept, and technical demonstrations.
- Articulate the business value of Power Platform and Copilot solutions to prospective clients.
Team Development & Mentorship
- Mentor junior architects, consultants, and developers.
- Conduct solution design reviews and provide guidance on complex technical challenges.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Power Platform:
- Power Apps (Canvas, Model-Driven)
- Power Automate (cloud flows, RPA, integrations)
- Power BI (data models, DAX, enterprise reporting, governance)
- Dataverse architecture and security model
- Knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem:
- Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 integration
- Copilot integration across M365 and Power Platform solutions
- Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Key Vault)
- Strong experience with:
- Solution design patterns, enterprise integration, and data modelling
- ALM practices, DevOps pipelines, and Git-based source control
- Security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in solution design
- Performance optimisation and scalability considerations
Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in Microsoft ecosystem delivery, with at least 3 years focused on Power Platform.
- Proven track record of delivering medium to large-scale solutions across multiple business domains.
- Experience in leading architectural discussions, producing solution designs, and managing governance frameworks.
- Exposure to pre-sales and bid support, including client-facing workshops and solution demonstrations.
Certifications (preferred/expected)
- PL-600: Power Platform Solution Architect (required or in progress)
- PL-200: Power Platform Functional Consultant
- PL-400: Power Platform Developer (desirable)
- PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher (desirable)
