Confidential CEO Appointment – UK-Wide Industrial Services Business

FWB is partnering with a private equity-backed engineering and business services firm in Scotland to recruit their next Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

With operations across the UK and a workforce of c200 employees, this is an exciting national platform with annual revenues exceeding £25m and significant opportunity for further value creation.

The incoming CEO will be responsible for leading and executing a growth and transformation agenda, with a view to delivering a successful private equity exit within a 3–5 year horizon.

This is a pivotal opportunity for a proven CEO, Managing Director or Commercial Director to step into a leadership role at a key inflection point in the company’s journey.

• Lead the commercial and operational strategy to unlock scalable, profitable growth.
• Build a high-performing leadership team and embed a performance-led culture.
• Drive operational excellence across a multi-site and mobile engineering workforce.
• Expand customer channels and improve margins through pricing and service innovation.
• Execute and integrate strategic bolt-on acquisitions.
• Prepare the business for value realisation in partnership with a supportive private equity sponsor.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a commercially-minded and execution-focused leader who brings:

• A successful track record of senior leadership in B2B industrial services, engineering, maintenance or technical field service businesses.
• Experience managing distributed or mobile workforces across multi-site operations.
• Strong commercial instincts with a track record of driving revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer development.
• Operational discipline with a hands-on, pragmatic approach to process improvement and team leadership.
• Ideally, prior experience operating in a private equity-backed or fast-paced, performance-led environment.
