We are seeking an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to install, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of industrial doors and related access systems. The role involves working on customer sites, diagnosing faults, carrying out planned maintenance, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, and repair of industrial doors including roller shutters, sectional doors, high-speed doors, fire doors, and loading bay equipment
- Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Ensuring all work complies with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Completing job reports and documentation accurately
- Providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally on site
- Working independently or as part of a team
- Participating in an on-call rota (if required)
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as an Industrial Door Engineer or similar role
- Strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge
- Experience working with automated door systems and control panels
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working at height
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Qualifications (Desirable)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical
- CSCS / IPAF / PASMA (advantageous but not essential)
- Electrical qualifications (preferred but not mandatory)
