We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping our clients maintain safe water systems by identifying risks associated with Legionella bacteria. You will conduct comprehensive risk assessments, produce detailed reports, and provide expert recommendations to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Legionella risk assessments in accordance with ACOP L8, HSG274, and HTM04-01 guidelines.
- Inspect and survey cold water storage tanks, calorifiers, and other water systems.
- Carry out water sampling, temperature monitoring, and system flushing where required.
- Provide schematic drawings of water systems and highlight potential risks.
- Deliver detailed risk assessment reports with practical recommendations.
- Advise clients on remedial actions and ongoing water hygiene management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations.
- Liaise with clients and maintain professional relationships to support business growth.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor or similar role.
- Knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, BS8580, and other relevant standards.
- Strong understanding of water systems, including cold water storage tanks and hot water systems.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
- Plumbing or mechanical background (preferred but not essential).
- Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment or equivalent.
