FVF Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing structural steel business based in Throsk, Stirling. This role will primarily be office-based at our Stirling office, with occasional visits to project sites as required.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of structural steel projects from tender stage through to final account. You will work closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
  • Managing project costs and variations
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts and subcontract agreements
  • Monitoring project progress and financial performance
  • Conducting risk and value management assessments
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Preparing final accounts and commercial reports
  • Attending site visits and meetings when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within structural steel, construction, or related sectors
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Excellent numerical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software
  • Full UK driving licence preferred due to occasional site visits
