About us

Fuzzy Labs is a fast-growing, Manchester-based tech consultancy that helps a diverse range of clients productionise machine learning, using Open Source MLOps (Machine Learning Operations). We exist to help our customers harness and channel the power of AI safely and effectively, to make positive change and use AI for good. MLOps is the discipline of reliably deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models in the real world, bridging the gap between data science and production engineering. We’ve had considerable growth over the last few years and we’re looking to continue with this momentum as we build on our reputation as Open Source MLOps experts, expand our role within the community, and continue to deliver high‑quality solutions to our clients.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a marketing manager who can tell authentic, human stories, grounded in deep technical insight, to the engineers who build with us, the customers who buy from us and the community who grows with us.

As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategy and Planning - help us deliver our marketing strategy and plan, and sequence our activity throughout the year.
  • Written content - Plan, manage, edit, and polish a steady cadence of newsletters, blogs, case studies, and social posts. This will be centred around translating technical content into engaging stories.
  • Video content - Script, record, and edit video for our LinkedIn and Youtube channels. We’re not looking for a seasoned video editor. We’ll help you use contemporary tools to focus on narrative flow and distribution, not cinematography.
  • Brand - Ensure consistent delivery of our brand across all formats and help to develop and iterate on it where necessary working with our existing partners. Amplify the Fuzzy Labs voice across every touchpoint, so that “open‑source MLOps” and “Fuzzy Labs” are synonymous in the UK market.
  • Social media and community - help build our community through our own events, newsletters and engagement with open source communities.
  • Events/ PR - own the events calendar making sure we are at the right events as speakers and exhibitors and meeting the right people.
  • Website optimisation - Work with the team to maintain our website, taking our brand messaging across clear CTAs, and SEO‑friendly technical resources.
  • Analysis and reporting - ensuring all this good activity is actually delivering results, generating leads and building brand awareness.

Values

  • Loving what we do: You’ll love telling stories as a vehicle for generating tangible marketing results!
  • Just trying it: Experimenting is in our nature, we aren’t afraid of trying something new or left field. Is there a new channel we should try? Don’t follow the norm, do something different in terms of tone and style.
  • Being greater than the sum of parts: Marketing isn't a solo game, you’ll be part of a close knit team of technologists and commercial minds. Our team want to contribute across the whole business and you should too. We’re in it together.
  • Positive impact: We chose to build a business that will use AI for the benefit of society, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring we find customers and use cases that cement and enhance this belief and deliver a positive impact in the world.

Skills & qualifications

  • Exceptional communication skills, you can switch from punchy social copy to in‑depth whitepaper content.
  • Experience turning complex technical subject matter into stories that spark emotion and drive action.
  • Comfortable using modern marketing, digital and design tooling and up for experimenting with new technologies.
  • A test‑and‑learn mindset. You form hypotheses on effective strategies and execution, measure on real data and iterate quickly so that we’re getting the optimal return on our marketing efforts and budget.
  • Collaborative and organised; you can manage multiple projects and stakeholders with calm efficiency.
  • Ideally you would have experience in B2B marketing and tech and consultancy experience is a bonus (but don’t let that put you off).
  • Familiarity with the AI/ML landscape and a desire to deepen that knowledge or work in the sector would be great.

What we can offer you

  • £500 annual personal development budget and AI assistant of your choice.
  • Hybrid working in a vibrant, central Manchester office with free fruit, cereals, and hot & cold drinks.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme and secure bike storage.
  • Paid time off for charity and volunteering.
  • Company socials, summer and Christmas parties.

Location and Eligibility

As a hybrid‑working organisation, we bring the team together in the office three days each week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and work remotely on the remaining days. We have found that regular, structured time in person enables us to make decisions more quickly, collaborate more effectively, and build the strong working relationships that underpin our work. For that reason, being able to join us in our central Manchester office on those set days is an essential part of the role. At the same time, we recognise that personal circumstances vary. We aim to approach individual situations with flexibility and openness, and we’re always willing to have a conversation where specific needs arise.
