FuzeHR is now hiring a Service Technician/Service Engineer based in the UK! This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful business in the mining/mineral processing equipment space. The successful Service Engineer will provide post sales service, commissioning, and client support for company supplied equipment in domestic and international locations. What are the Responsibilities?
- Post-sales support, including client follow-up and training
- Identify issues in the field and resolve them; look for areas of improvement; bring forward ideas or solutions
- Write service reports and commissioning checklists upon trip completion
- Create procedures, instructions, reports, training information which may include manuals, PowerPoint, and videos
- Act as a content expert for Technical Writing department; support their development of manuals, procedures and documentation
- Follow-up on action items identified during commissioning or service trips
- Assist with Falcon SB bowl refurbishment program; generate reports for the Parts Team, help coordinate and support work processes
- Assist with larger projects including assembly, teardown and coordination; lead and direct a third party vendor to fabricate and assemble company equipment
- Assist with shop assembly when resources require it; this may be in Perth, Langley, Montreal, or at an international vendor
- Assist QA department with quality inspections
- Handle warranty claims; disposition and needed actions to see process to completion using new procedures
- Test company equipment after assembly; follow FAT (factory acceptance test) steps; bring forward any concerns and ensure corrections
- Assist with spare parts orders (packing, picking, communication with Langley, etc.); aid with annual inventory count; aid other company departments (Quality, Procurement, etc.) if local support is required
What are the Requirements?
- Good mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude; follows company and client safety protocols; best practices; follows procedures; ability to follow directions; continued growth and development
- Experience with equipment commissioning and service
- Experience with analysing and troubleshooting machinery both mechanically and electrically (Low Voltage)
- Able to read, follow, and understand mechanical (assembly) and electrical drawings
- Clear communication with clients and peers on equipment installation, operation, maintenance, and repair
- Understand how to see a job through and adjust your schedule to suit the task at hand
- Demonstrates personal leadership; looks to develop and stays up to date with required training including but not limited to White Card, Senior first aid, HSR, electrical safety, mineral processing, automation
- Use and understand various Automation software; be able to clearly understand directions if being instructed on a program change
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat or other PDF editors
- Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally on short notice and up to 50% of the time. Destinations may be underdeveloped
- Hold a valid Australian passport and maintain good standing
- When working onsite, able to match client hours which may require working 10-12 hour shifts
- Flexible with work/personal life balance to communicate with Langley head office at inconvenient times due to the time difference
