About the role: We are looking for a Director level Technology Strategist to join our Strategy & Transformation team and become a trusted partner to our clients’ CIOs and CTOs. In this senior role, you will lead the delivery of highly complex digital projects for large, global clients, serving as the primary technical point of contact between Futurice and our client teams.

You will bring a critical technical lens to our digital strategy, organisational design, and transformation programs. You will oversee multiple projects, playing a hybrid role that balances strategic oversight with hands-on architectural design. As a senior leader, you will not only shape the technological future of our clients but also actively drive business development and mentor our internal teams.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Extensive Experience: You have 10+ years of experience in digital, technology, and data strategies or architectures, with a proven ability to move from strategy into hands-on execution.
  • Technology Mastery: You possess knowledge in a broad range of modern technologies, including AI, cloud, APIs, and enterprise systems, alongside a solid understanding of architecture and design principles. If needed you can pull together and lead a group of deep experts to get the work done.
  • Commercial Acumen: You can translate business goals into clear architectural blueprints and technology recommendations.
  • Exceptional Communication: You establish credibility quickly and can clearly articulate complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences, both internally and externally.
  • Inclusive Leadership: You recognize where there is a lack of diversity or potential risk of biased decision-making, taking action to challenge and improve outcomes to ensure we produce the best work possible.
  • Curiosity over Ego: You value collaboration over silos and curiosity over credentials.
  • Influence & Advocacy: You speak with authority and conviction, gaining alignment across multiple stakeholders in complex situations while allowing room for other perspectives.
  • Drive for Impact: You ensure our work always connects with our clients' bigger-picture strategic goals and initiatives, and you manage the environmental impact of our work.

What you'll do:

  • Architecting Target States: You bring the internal expertise together to help our clients develop modern technology architecture and enterprise capabilities that directly support our clients' strategic business goals.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: You will oversee end-to-end delivery on complex projects, ensuring the highest possible quality of work while managing client expectations and project profitability.
  • C-Level Advisory: You will establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, offering expert advice that influences and shapes client strategic decisions.
  • AI & Data Transformation: You will guide clients on the responsible use of data and integrate AI into enterprise capabilities, making it a natural part of future-proof organizations.
  • Business Development: You will actively pursue new and existing client opportunities, collaborating with the team to lead and deliver high-quality responses to client briefs, ITTs, and RFPs.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: You will foster an environment of psychological safety, actively mentoring team members and helping them overcome technical obstacles to complete project work.
