We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join Futures. In this hybrid role, you will work closely with both the Tech team and client-facing teams, playing a key role in the delivery of complex media and sponsorship analytics projects. You will take greater ownership of client workstreams, contribute to shaping analytical approaches, and act as a senior point of support within project teams.

This role is highly challenging and will require advanced analytical capability, strong commercial acumen, and creativity in translating complex data into clear, compelling client narratives and reports. You will be responsible for optimising analytical processes and workflows, identifying efficiencies, and driving continuous improvement, while also working with and applying computer vision models to deliver scalable, data-driven insights. This is an opportunity to work directly with senior clients, apply cutting-edge technology, and have a meaningful impact on the development of Futures’ analytical capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the creation of client reports and presentations
  • Generating new and innovative ideas which add value to our team and our clients
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for clients on projects, managing expectations, building trusted relationships, managing suppliers and completing project administrative tasks
  • Collaborating with senior team members and high-profile clients from day one to provide solutions and insight, as well as aid in the development of our research, software and tools
  • Coordinating effectively with internal stakeholders, including junior analysts, providing guidance and quality assurance
  • Immersing yourself in the world of sport, data and business to add value to the team and our clients
  • Managing an internal workstream to help drive the business forward (e.g. recruitment, resourcing, learning & development)
  • Managing and supporting junior colleagues with their development

What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of relevant research, data analysis, management consulting and/or sports business experience
  • Passion for sports and knowledge of the sports business industry
  • Experience with coding and data science software (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of computer vision models (e.g., Custom Vision)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail
  • Experience managing projects, suppliers and colleagues
  • Experience with AI technologies (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Notebook LM)
