Futures are excited to be partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business. This business has a current turnover of £250m+ and over recent years has achieved double digital growth! They are now market-leaders within the food industry, supplying to a range of foodservice, retail and wholesale channels.

Due to growth, they are expanding and hiring for a Web Developer to join their very experienced Marketing function. You will join a growing team and help build fast, accessible, and beautifully crafted digital experiences. You’ll work across a range of projects, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to turn ideas into high-quality, production-ready websites and applications.

What you’ll be doing as a Web Developer - Full Stack:

  • Owning the maintenance and ongoing development of all relevant web applications and websites, ensuring excellent reliability, performance, and usability.
  • Implementing bug fixes, enhancements, and new features across existing platforms.
  • Building new websites, internal tools, and front-end applications from the ground up.
  • Translating designs and requirements into responsive, accessible, and performant UIs.
  • Mentoring and supporting a junior front-end developer, promoting best practices and code quality.
  • Working closely with backend developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Optimising websites for performance, accessibility, and SEO.

A minimum of 3 years experience in a Web Developer role is required, along with skills in React.js and Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+) and modern browser APIs, HTML5 & CSS3, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS or similar modern CSS frameworks. A strong understanding of front-end architecture, component-based design, and state management is essential, as well as a solid grasp of programming fundamentals, including functional programming principles and common design patterns. Strong project management skills are also necessary.
