We are working with a leading manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced Senior EHS & Facilities Manager to drive strategic improvements across Environment, Health, Safety and Facilities Management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a transformational leader who is passionate about driving positive change, challenging existing practices and developing a proactive, high-performing safety culture.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the site's long-term EHS strategy, leading significant improvement initiatives and ensuring the business operates to the highest standards of environmental compliance, process safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive EHS strategy, driving continuous improvement and long-term cultural transformation.
  • Provide strategic leadership across Environmental, Health, Safety and Facilities functions, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.
  • Lead and manage EHS and Facilities-related CAPEX projects, including budget ownership, investment planning and project delivery.
  • Oversee environmental permits, regulatory compliance and environmental management systems, ensuring all legislative requirements are met.
  • Drive process safety improvements, identifying and mitigating operational risks within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Lead site-wide initiatives to strengthen safety culture, employee engagement and proactive risk management.
  • Oversee facilities management, site infrastructure and associated improvement programmes.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to influence strategic decisions, challenge existing processes and deliver measurable improvements.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial accountability.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Significant experience in a senior EHS leadership position within a manufacturing, engineering, chemical or similarly complex industrial environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering strategic transformation and sustainable cultural change across EHS functions.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation, permitting requirements, regulatory compliance and process safety.
  • Experience managing CAPEX projects, departmental budgets and site improvement programmes.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change across multiple operational functions.
  • Experience overseeing Facilities Management, infrastructure or site services would be highly advantageous.
  • Relevant EHS qualifications, ideally including NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • A proactive, commercially aware leadership style with a genuine passion for improving standards, developing people and delivering positive change.

This position would suit an ambitious, forward-thinking EHS leader who enjoys operating at both a strategic and operational level, with the ability to turn long-term objectives into measurable improvements.
