Have you over ten years' experience of buying? With over three years spent in a senior role? Are you familiar with mechanical engineering? This could be the role for you! Futures are working with a well-known industry leading manufacturer looking to appoint a Senior Buyer. This is an excellent company who have a strong emphasis on quality and a reputation for excellence. We are looking for a Senior Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing and an understanding of fabricated parts.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading cost purchase of materials and components
  • Managing stock control to ensure all material is available at all times for the production teams
  • Represent the department in meetings as required
  • Develop and maintain supplier and internal relationships

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience buying mechanical components for a manufacturer
  • Prior experience working closely with R&D teams
  • Experience purchasing parts from suppliers in the far east preferred
  • MRP/ERP experience
