Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to appoint a Quality Engineer to support production quality, inspection processes, and continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer with experience in heavy manufacturing environments who is looking to develop their career within a technically demanding and fast-paced operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality standards, supporting inspection activities, investigating non-conformances, and driving process improvements across the business. The position will involve close collaboration with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the company’s quality management systems and procedures
- Conduct and support internal quality inspections throughout manufacturing processes
- Assist with dimensional, visual, and final inspection activities
- Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis activities
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality
- Review manufacturing documentation, inspection reports, and quality records
- Work closely with production teams to ensure compliance with customer and engineering specifications
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction
- Support supplier quality activities and incoming material inspections where required
- Assist with customer audits and external quality assessments

The Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Quality Engineer within heavy manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, machining, or industrial production environments
- Exposure to inspection processes and quality control techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience using measuring equipment and inspection tools
- Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Good attention to detail with a proactive approach to quality improvement
- Competent with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
