Our client is recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to develop a key territory across the North of England for an established provider of specialist capital equipment.
This is a hands-on, field-based sales role for someone who knows how to open doors, develop valuable accounts and close significant equipment deals within construction, infrastructure, utilities or related markets.
You'll have responsibility for growing sales across your region, working with contractors, civil engineering firms, utilities, groundworks businesses and other major operators.
Rather than simply managing an existing customer base, you'll be expected to actively develop the territory - identifying projects, building relationships with decision-makers and converting opportunities into profitable business.
You’ll be responsible for
- Winning new customers and developing underpenetrated accounts.
- Selling high-value plant, machinery and specialist equipment.
- Identifying upcoming projects and commercial opportunities across the region.
- Meeting customers on-site and understanding their operational requirements.
- Managing deals from initial approach through to negotiation and close.
- Building a strong pipeline of short and long-term opportunities.
- Creating lasting customer relationships that generate repeat business.
We're interested in commercially driven sales professionals with experience selling heavy plant, access equipment, construction machinery, capital equipment or similar high-value products.
You should be comfortable developing your own territory, prospecting for new business and negotiating substantial sales with customers across construction, infrastructure, civil engineering or utilities.
This position offers considerable autonomy and will suit someone who prefers being out in the market, meeting customers and creating opportunities rather than managing a territory from behind a desk.
