Manufacturing Futures are looking to appoint a Purchasing Engineer for a successful engineering business to support the purchasing department to to ensure the efficient purchasing and expediting of parts and services, dealing with NPD projects and supplier quality. As Purchasing Engineer you will also have responsibility for inventory and warehousing operations, line managing a small team who take and store deliveries. As Purchasing Engineer you will have a basic working knowledge of the computer systems relating to Purchasing, Stock, and Production Control alongside being well organised and a good communicator. Purchasing Engineer – Role and Responsibilities – Buyer / Procurement / Buyer / Stock Control / Inventory / NPD / Supplier Management * Updating system with current supplier delivery lead times and prices * Assisting Supply Chain Manager to improve quality, deliveries and reduce costs * Raise and process necessary Purchase Orders * Establish good communications with suppliers, including visiting suppliers on occasions * Manage on-site inventory, including line management of goods-in and stores team Purchasing Engineer – Skills and Abilities – Buyer / Procurement / Buyer / Stock Control / Inventory / NPD / Supplier Management * Previous experience of purchasing / procurement / buying * Excellent knowledge of office and administrative practices * Great Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) * Good communication skills, written and oral, and able to effectively work as part of a team * Experience of goods-in and stores / inventory Purchasing Engineer / Junior Buyer / Procurement / Buyer / Stock Control / Inventory / Supplier Management If this role could appeal, please do apply now
