Our client, a successful electronics manufacturer, is seeking a Principal Power Electronics Engineer to play a leading role in the development of advanced electronic products. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll provide technical leadership across multiple projects whilst remaining hands-on with design and development activities. This position would suit a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in power electronics, hardware design, and product development. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team, contribute to technical strategy, and help deliver innovative products from concept through to manufacture.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical delivery of complex power electronics development projects.
  • Design and review electronic hardware, power conversion systems, and related circuitry.
  • Support and mentor other engineers within the design team.
  • Work across multiple projects, ensuring technical and commercial objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical input to customer discussions, feasibility studies, and new product proposals.
  • Support the Engineering Manager with project planning and execution.
