This role focuses on minor works, reactive maintenance, and planned improvements, ensuring buildings, fixtures, and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out general building maintenance across the site, with a strong emphasis on joinery and carpentry works.
  • Undertake minor electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks (within competency and certification limits).
  • Repair, modify, and install:
  • Doors, frames, windows, flooring, partitions, and furniture.
  • Fixtures, fittings, and building fabric.
  • Support minor refurbishment and improvement projects.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on building systems and assets.
  • Liaise with contractors where specialist works are required.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed works and materials used.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and site procedures.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Proven experience in a multi-skilled building maintenance role.
    • Strong joinery/carpentry background (essential).
    • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
    • Ability to carry out minor electrical works safely and competently.
    • Practical, hands-on approach with strong fault-finding skills.
    • Experience working within industrial or manufacturing environments (desirable).
    • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
