Futures have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Materials Planner to join a leading manufacturer who are well-known in the market for their niche products. The company will invest in the development of this role, equipping you with the key skills for the present and ensuring you have a fulfilling, long term career. There is lots of training from fully expensed courses to on-the-shoulder guidance in the moment. Working in a close knit team you will be responsible for:

  • Planning/scheduling orders for materials in time for successful production
  • Ensuring all orders are planned to guarantee materials are in the right place at the right time
  • Monitoring deliveries, capturing shortfalls and reporting any discrepancies to the supplier and relevant teams within the business
  • Building relationships with suppliers to be able to work through and resolve issues
  • Liaising with Production and Operations teams to ensure information is shared accurately and in a timely manner
  • Monitoring non-conformances to ensure non-conforming materials do not affect supply chain performance

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Strong experience of planning and scheduling
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and MS Office based programmes
  • Highly organised and able to work autonomously, with strong administration skills and the ability to react to and deal with short notice situations
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written and reporting) and problem solving abilities
  • Experience of ERP systems advantageous but not essential
