Technical Quality Manager
Location: Stockport Area
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Quality Manager to join a leading FMCG manufacturer based in the Stockport area. This business has built an excellent reputation for product quality, continuous investment and operational excellence, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front while driving improvements across quality and manufacturing.
Working as part of the site leadership team, you will lead a small but highly capable Quality function, managing a team of five direct reports. You'll work closely with Production, Engineering and Technical teams to ensure the highest standards of food safety, product quality and regulatory compliance are maintained, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of five Quality professionals, creating a positive and high-performing culture.
- Drive quality standards across the manufacturing operation, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and food safety requirements.
- Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve product quality, reduce waste and enhance manufacturing performance.
- Lead investigations into quality issues, implementing robust corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor and analyse quality KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support internal, customer and third-party audits while maintaining compliance with all relevant quality standards.
- Develop, review and improve quality systems, procedures and documentation.
- Build strong working relationships across Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to deliver operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Technical Quality Manager, Quality Manager or Senior Quality Leader within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing and developing quality teams.
- Strong understanding of food safety legislation, quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
- Experience leading audits, root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for driving high standards and creating a culture of quality throughout the business.
