We are launching a major new brand this Autumn, fronted by one of the UK’s best-known broadcasters, going nationwide through one of the country’s biggest retailers. You will own its voice from day one. This is not a posting job. You will run owned media end to end: the content, the calendar, the community, the tone. You will build an audience from a standing start and turn it into something people want to be part of. Alongside the launch brand, you will support a handful of portfolio brands across pet care, beauty, and consumer goods, each with its own voice and its own ambitions. We want someone who thinks like an editor, writes like a fan, and moves at the speed of the feed.

About Futures: Futures is an AI-native venture operating studio. We build and run consumer brands, some we part-own, some we operate for founders and retailers. We are based at Jactin House in Ancoats, in the room together most of the week, because that is where the good work happens. Our brands reach millions. Our standards are high. We hire people who can carry a brand on their own and make it better.

What you will own:

  • The full owned-media calendar for the launch brand across Instagram, Facebook, and email community, plus emerging channels as they earn their place.
  • Daily content. You will plan it, brief it, shoot or source it, edit it, write it, and publish it. You will be hands on with the camera and the cut.
  • Community. You will reply, you will spark conversations, you will know the regulars by name. You will treat the comments and the DMs as the product, not the afterthought.
  • A clear read on what is working. You will watch the numbers, report what matters, and change course fast when something is not landing.
  • Support across portfolio brands. You will switch voice cleanly between a pet care brand and a men’s grooming brand without either one sounding like the other.

What you will need:

  • Two or more years running social for a brand people care about, ideally consumer, ideally with real audience growth to point to.
  • A genuine command of Facebook and Instagram as a creator, not just a scheduler. You understand the formats, the sounds, the timing, and why some things travel.
  • Strong, fast writing. You can land a brand voice in a caption and a community reply, and you write clean UK English.
  • An eye for content. You can brief and edit to a high standard on your own, and you know when to hand it to Scenes, our production team.
  • Calm under launch pressure.

Nice to have:

  • Experience launching a brand on socials, not just maintaining one.
  • A feel for pet care, beauty, or talent-led brands.
  • Comfort using AI tools to move faster without losing the human voice.

The practical bits:

  • 3 to 4 days a week, in person at Jactin House, Ancoats. This is a studio job, not a remote one.
  • Permanent, full role. We will talk pay openly based on what you bring. £35,000-£40,000 per year.

How to apply:

Send us the three things you have made that you are proudest of, and one line on why. No covering letter. Show us the work. hello@thisisfutures.com
