Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer used to working on contract? Do you know all about pressure vessels, ASME, autoclaves and high–pressure plant equipment? This could be the role for you!
We are recruiting for an immediately available Contract Mechanical Design Engineer to support a specialist engineering team working on pressure vessels, autoclaves and associated industrial equipment.
- Design and develop pressure systems and related mechanical equipment
- Produce 3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, BOMs and specifications
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. PD5500, ASME VIII, EN)
- Liaise with suppliers/fabricators and support technical queries through manufacture
Key requirements:
- Mechanical design experience in pressure vessels, autoclaves or high–pressure plant equipment
- Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks / Inventor or similar)
- Good knowledge of fabrication, materials, tolerances and design for manufacture
- Able to start nigh–on immediately
