Our client based on the outskirts of Wakefield is a growing manufacturing business, that work within a niche corner of the market supplying to a number of household names recognised in the UK and globally. To support their continued growth we are looking to appoint a Logistics Manager who will play a critical role in transporting product internationally, ensuring they re delivered in the most efficient and cost effective way to the client.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee international shipping processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and import/export documentation.
- Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and other third-party logistics providers to secure cost-effective and reliable services.
- Monitor and optimise inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimising holding costs.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations and improve delivery times.
- Analyse logistics performance data and produce regular reports for senior management.
Skills and qualifications:
- We are seeking an experienced and driven professional with a proven track record in logistics and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, preferably within manufacturing and international distribution.
- Strong understanding of global shipping regulations, import/export compliance, and customs procedures.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, WMS, or TMS).
