Futures are delighted to be working with a fast-growing consumer goods business that due to extensive growth they are hiring for a new role, a S&OP Manager.
This is a newly created and highly visible role responsible for overseeing the complete order journey for the company's major B2B and own-label customers.
From the point an order is received through to final delivery, you will ensure every stage is coordinated effectively and customers receive clear, timely updates.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with Sales, Planning, Warehouse, Production and Logistics teams to keep large and complex orders moving.
You will provide greater visibility across the business, identify potential delays and ensure colleagues remain accountable for agreed actions and timescales.
This is an operationally focused position and would suit someone with experience in sales operations, customer operations, order management, supply chain coordination or B2B fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the end-to-end order fulfilment process for major B2B and own-label customers.
- Track orders from initial confirmation through stock allocation, production, pallet building, shipping and final delivery.
- Act as the central point of coordination between Sales, Operations, Planning, Warehouse, Production and Logistics.
- Maintain clear and accurate order trackers, providing visibility of progress, deadlines and outstanding actions.
- Identify potential delays or supply issues at an early stage and coordinate solutions with the relevant teams.
- Coordinate shipping arrangements and monitor deliveries through to completion.
- Build strong relationships with key B2B customers and provide a consistently high level of service.
- Produce regular reports covering order status, lead times, delays, fulfilment performance and customer service.
About You
- Previous experience within sales operations, customer operations, order management, supply chain, logistics or B2B fulfilment.
- Comfortable managing large, complex or high-value customer orders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident communicating with senior customers and internal stakeholders.
- Able to hold colleagues accountable and follow up on actions in a professional but persistent manner.
- Commercially aware, proactive and solutions-focused.
- Strong attention to detail and confident working with order-management systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- Experience within FMCG, consumer goods, manufacturing, nutrition or another fast-paced product-based environment would be advantageous.
