Our client, a market leading electronics company with an enviable blue chip client bank, are looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to lead their rapidly expanding engineering team. This established company has seen an influx of new long term projects and seeks a Senior Electronic Design Engineer on a permanent basis to aid in the specification, design and completion of assigned electronics projects.
You'll need a recognised electronic engineering qualification, excellent software / firmware skills, and the ability to lead small teams of people. You'll mix your time between hands on design work and mentoring your small but expanding team. It's a great time to join a business with fantastic prospects for growth.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects including new design and rework/modification
- Efficiently work to deadlines and guarantee delivery on company deadlines
- Varied role encompassing all aspects of hardware engineering including PCB schematics, layout design, microprocessors, circuit design and test engineering
- Experience with firmware/embedded software
- Liaise with other members of the engineering team and direct junior members of staff
Skills & Abilities:
- Degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Computing or equivalent
- Proficient in the use of PCB schematic capture and layout software
- Excellent analogue and digital circuit design
- Knowledge of embedded processors and digital systems
- Experience in a senior or team leader role with mentoring responsibilities for junior staff
