We are partnered with a secure public sector organisation in Manchester on the search for a IT Security Manager.
The role:
In this role you support the Assistant Director of IT and Digital – Security and Risk in setting, defining and upholding IT security standards across the organisation.
You will ensure the security of the IT infrastructure and sensitive information against cyber threats and breaches and develop, implement, and enforce robust IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
Experience Required:
- Experience leading an information security function
- Experience of planning, developing, implementing, promoting and assessing Information Security in a multi-functional organisation.
- Track record of appropriately managing security related incidents within an effective timely manner and ensuring minimum impact to organisation performance and reputation.
- Experience of line management of teams in alignment to strategy set by the organisation.
- Track record of effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise workloads for the team and set policies at a strategic level.
Knowledge Required:
- Relevant national, international, industry and professional standards/legislation associated with the role. For example: NIST / CIS Top 18, ISO 27000 series.
- Extensive knowledge of cyber security technologies and policies, with expertise in cloud security, particularly Azure
