We are currently supporting a leading manufacturing organisation in the appointment of a Process Safety Engineer, as part of their continued investment in site safety, compliance and operational excellence.
This is a key role within the business, focused on driving best-in-class Process Safety Management (PSM) standards and ensuring robust risk identification and mitigation across site operations.
As Process Safety Engineer, you will take ownership of process safety strategy and implementation on site, ensuring regulatory compliance while proactively identifying and reducing risk.
- Lead and facilitate structured risk assessments including HAZOP and HAZID studies, working cross-functionally with operations, engineering and technical teams to embed a strong process safety culture.
- Develop and maintain Process Safety Management systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant COMAH / regulatory requirements (where applicable).
- Review and update safety documentation, procedures and operating standards.
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement in process safety performance.
Proven experience in a Process Safety Engineering role within manufacturing, chemicals, energy or heavy industry.
Strong working knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID and Process Safety Management frameworks.
Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
