A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join its leadership team during an exciting period of growth, investment, and operational expansion. As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement, leading operational excellence initiatives, and embedding Lean methodologies across the organisation. Working closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, delivery, safety, and cost performance while developing sustainable improvement capabilities throughout the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver site-wide Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies across all areas of the business.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping activities, Root Cause Analysis investigations, and improvement workshops.
  • Develop and coach operational teams to build Continuous Improvement capability throughout the organisation.
  • Support the delivery of strategic business objectives through structured improvement programmes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, ensuring measurable improvements are achieved and sustained.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities for transformational change and long-term operational improvements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning across the site.
About You:

The successful candidate will be an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager, Operational Excellence Manager, or Lean Manager with a proven track record of delivering measurable improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will possess strong leadership and influencing skills, enabling you to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive sustainable cultural change across the organisation.

Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience within a Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean, or Manufacturing Excellence leadership role.
  • Strong background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success delivering productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency improvements.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams to embed Continuous Improvement best practices.
