A well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Cardiff is currently looking to strengthen its engineering team with the appointment of a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical bias. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across site equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on PLC-controlled machinery
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
- Work closely with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
Key Requirements:
- Electrically biased with relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Technician or similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong PLC fault finding and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Good communication skills and a flexible attitude
