Our client, a designer and manufacturer of machine tools who work globally, seek to appoint a mechanically biased Service Engineer. Reporting in to the Service Manager you will be responsible for technical support and repairs of machinery at customers' facilities throughout the world.
On offer is stable employment with an industry leading machine tool manufacturer alongside an excellent benefits package including expensed travel and premium overtime (including paid travel time). You will be out of the country three to six months a year working long hours each day but receive fantastic overtime payments or lots of time off in lieu when in the UK.
Field Service Engineer - Role & Responsibilities - Machine Tools- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Repair, install and service all Group supported machine tools
- Respond to customer contact in a timely and structured manner. Good personal presentation and attention to detail
- Travel to customer facilities and undertake repair work, routine servicing, machine installations and associated admin
- HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent or a full 4/5 year mechanical apprenticeship
- Excellent technical knowledge of machine tools
- Excellent customer service skills
