We are seeking reliable and hardworking Refuse Collectors to join our waste and recycling team in Chichester. This is a physically demanding outdoor role, supporting essential community services in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Collect household and commercial waste and recycling from designated routes
- Load refuse and recycling into collection vehicles safely and efficiently
- Work as part of a crew to complete daily routes on schedule
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Report any issues with waste bins, routes, or vehicles
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with the public
- Physically demanding role involving lifting, carrying, and walking for long periods
- Work is outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.)
- Standing and walking for the duration of the shift
- Early morning starts are required
- Good level of physical fitness
- Ability to work on your feet for the full shift
- Reliable and punctual with good attendance
