Do you have a good graps of lean and continuous improvement, and practical real world examples of using those techniques to improve efficiencies within operations? Do you understand traditional engineering? (metal cutting and shaping: welding, fabrication, machining, precision engineering) Do you have good CAD skills to design jigs, fixtures and tooling to aid manufacturing? This could be the role for you! Our client, a large manufacturing business in Wakefield, seek to appoint a Lean Engineer to improve manufacturing techniques in order to reduce production time per item, remove waste, and increase quality and repeatability. Working alongside multiple departments you will be a good communicator able to quickly integrate.Reporting in to the Manufacturing Manager you will also produce tooling aids for ease of manufacture with your competent CAD skills and be the point of contact within the lean function to answer queries on manufacturing engineering for the quality, production, maintenance and design departments.
