The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) unites Sizewell C with three industry‑leading construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Laing O’Rourke and Bouygues Travaux Publics, forming one collaborative delivery team to deliver the main civil works at Sizewell C. - Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
- Working safely within the laboratory and in the construction site
- Working alongside other team members, testing the properties of construction materials including concrete, grout, soils and aggregates.
- Improving the performance of existing products already in place.
- Developing an understanding, knowledge and practical methods used to examine materials, including non‑destructive testing (NDT).
- Working to established test methods to ensure quality and to support the Lab in maintaining its accreditation to operate.
- Travelling to and from sites, collecting materials to be tested.
