The role will focus on supporting customers and the internal sales team by handling technical enquiries, selecting appropriate products, and preparing accurate quotations. You will gain exposure to a broad product portfolio including water pumps, control panels, variable speed drives, plastic fittings, and associated accessories, while developing both technical and commercial skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

  • Technical & Sales Support
    • Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, providing prompt and professional support
    • Interpret technical requirements and assist in selecting appropriate pump systems and associated equipment
    • Prepare and issue quotations based on customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
    • Support the sales team by providing technical and commercial insight on product applications
    • Maintain a high level of product knowledge across pumps, controls, drives, and accessories
    • Manage office administration tasks (estimated 20% of time)
  • Customer Service & Communication
    • Answer incoming telephone calls and direct or resolve queries effectively
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering high-quality service
    • Provide guidance and basic troubleshooting support where necessary
    • Ensure all customer interactions are handled in a clear, professional, and timely manner
  • Internal Support & Administration
    • Assist with order processing, enquiry tracking, and general sales administration
    • Work closely with colleagues across sales, operations, and technical teams
    • Support the wider team with day-to-day activities as required to ensure smooth operations
    • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, and customer communications
  • Training & Development

  • Position Qualifications & Requirements
    • HND/HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
    • Strong interest in technical sales and customer-facing work

    • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and prioritise workload effectively
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

    • Commercial awareness and ability to understand customer needs
