We are excited to be recruiting an Agricultural Service Engineer Apprentice to join our Engine Farm Workshop team near Ely, Cambs. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in agricultural engineering while working with one of the UK’s leading fresh produce growers.
What you will be doing
- As an apprentice, you will gain hands‑on experience while collaborating with skilled engineers.
- Your training will include:
- Assisting with the repair and maintenance of a wide range of agricultural machinery
- Learning how to diagnose and fix mechanical and technical faults.
- Supporting servicing and repairs in both the workshop and out in the field
- Helping with assembly and pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) of new machinery
- Using manufacturer software and manuals to support problem‑solving
- Working safely and always following Health & Safety procedures
Skills required
- No prior engineering experience is required – just a willingness to learn, develop and desire to train to become an Engineer.
- We would like you to have:
- A full UK driving licence (or working towards it)
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Excel)
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Resilience and adaptability in a busy working environment
