We are technical experts in the design and manufacture of plastic injection mouldings. Working in partnership with you, we support your new product developments and existing moulding requirements from design to delivery. We manufacture a wide range of technical products, in a variety of engineering polymers, and supply markets such as healthcare, automotive, aerospace, electronics and consumer goods.
Merits Plastic Mouldings are currently looking for an apprentice Production Technician to join and learn within their team.
Main roles and responsibilities- To undertake any relevant training courses to become a Production Technician on completion of the training.
- To learn how to start up and run production machines, including any troubleshooting and process improvement requirements following company work instructions.
- To learn how to carry out efficient and effective job change preparation.
- To learn how to monitor tool condition and maintenance.
- To learn how to carry out quality checks including first off submission.
- To learn how to maintain active inter-departmental co-ordination, communication and co-operation.
- To learn how to work in compliance with all statutory rules and regulations.
- GCSE or Equivalent in Maths and English Grades 4-9.

The learner will be studying the Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Day release to West Suffolk College.
