They are currently looking for an Engineering Degree apprentice to join their team. We are seeking to employ and train a new Engineering Apprentice. During your 6-7 years as a Zeiss Apprentice, you will gain comprehensive experience in various different departments such as:
- The Production Department
- The Product Design Team
- The Process Engineering Team
- The Applications Team
- The Quality Team
You will use the experience gained alongside studying at West Suffolk College to cement your manufacturing knowledge to a high level. We will support and guide you along your journey and allow you the exposure with tasks which is required to complete your Apprenticeship. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for engineering and manufacturing.
Entry requirements:
- GCSE or Equivalent in Maths and English Grades 5-9
- A Levels (Ideally Maths or Physics) or a Level 3/T - Level in Engineering, or similar
Skills required:
- Logical
- Initiative
Training to be provided. The learner will be studying the Manufacturing Engineer (Degree) Level 6 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Day release to West Suffolk College.
Things to consider:
The role will be varied and will cover a lot of different working environments. We also offer Private Medical, Medical Cash plan, 25 days holiday (plus BH’s), Christmas Shut down. Once you have completed your Apprenticeship and if you secure a first role with us through applying for relevant vacancies, it is our policy to develop our employees further and to give them the opportunity to progress in the business. We must be clear that there is no guarantee of a permanent role at the end of your Apprenticeship.
