The team are looking to recruit a Painter and Decorator apprentice. As an apprentice, you will assist the Facilities and Procurement Manager/Works Manager in carrying out interior and exterior painting and decorating duties as part of a busy maintenance team of skilled craftspeople. You will work alongside and shadow our Painter and Decorator, supporting a range of projects whilst developing new skills and gaining valuable hands‑on experience.

Training to be Provided
The learner will be studying the Painter and Decorator Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. The apprenticeship includes day release to West Suffolk College.
Things to Consider
This role consists of both internal and external works; you will also be expected to turn your hand to assist other trades as and when required. Although the main site is located in Cambridge City Centre, we also have buildings off site. Upon successful completion of the programme, there may be opportunities for a permanent position as a Painter and Decorator subject to performance. Remaining with the college would allow you to continue developing your skills while contributing to the upkeep and preservation of the College's buildings and facilities as part of an experienced Maintenance Team.
