An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Learning Support Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people. Working closely with teachers, students, parents and external professionals, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.
The role involves building positive relationships, promoting independence, supporting learning both in and out of the classroom, and contributing to an inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
As part of the Aspirations Academies Trust at key stage 3, our school offers a unique year 7 and 8 curriculum model. Combining the best of Primary and Secondary practice, the year 7 and 8 model provides students with a smaller staff team than traditional models which aids a seamless transition from Primary to Secondary School. By doing so we prioritise students' self-worth through fostering meaningful relationships with a smaller team of staff. Teams of staff collaborate to ensure the curriculum is engaging, challenging and relevant. Key stage 3 teachers teach the year 7/8 classes a number of times a week and during this time, with support from the year 7/8 team and shared resources and planning, would be teaching a combination of subjects.
The Academy is recruiting for someone who shares our drive to engage and motivate every child to achieve their potential, who will play an important role in our unique and growing Academy.
