Based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, Wykham Park Academy is a Comprehensive Secondary School committed to supporting outstanding outcomes for our students. With students who have the desire to succeed, an aspirational team of staff, and supportive colleagues, Wykham Park Academy offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, talented individual looking to develop their career with the potential for future progression within Aspirations.
At Wykham Park Academy, you would become part of a vibrant learning community that will offer you fantastic opportunities for CPD and opportunities for progression. An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Key Stage 3 Teacher to join us at Wykham Park Academy. This is a fixed term position for 1 academic year.
We seek to appoint a highly motivated Key Stage 3 Teacher with a strong commitment to securing the best possible outcomes for the students. As part of the Aspirations Academies Trust, our school offers a unique year 7 and 8 curriculum model. Combining the best of Primary and Secondary practice, this model provides students with a smaller staff team than traditional models, aiding a seamless transition from Primary to Secondary School. By doing so, we prioritise students' self-worth through fostering meaningful relationships with a smaller team of staff. Teams of staff collaborate to ensure the curriculum is engaging, challenging, and relevant.
Key stage 3 teachers teach the year 7/8 classes a number of times a week and, with support from the year 7/8 team and shared resources and planning, would be teaching a combination of subjects.
