At Wykham Park Academy we have a dedicated team who work together effectively to enable us to realise our vision of preparing our students for success in the 21st century. Our academy is a vibrant and exciting place to work and was graded as good in all areas by Ofsted in 2020. We are proud that our student outcomes and progress are very strong across the academy.

The successful candidate will manage and lead inclusion within the Inclusion Team and across the academy, in order to support students to make the most of their education. Our new Inclusion Hub, The Aspire Centre, will provide a supportive environment for our most vulnerable students to gain the confidence and skills that they need to succeed in education.

The work in the Inclusion Team incorporates:

  • Pastoral support
  • LSA support
  • ELSA
  • 1:1 counselling
  • Bespoke literacy and numeracy programmes

You will have excellent communication, strong motivational skills and a desire to improve educational outcomes for young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing access to targeted support for key groups of students, and ensuring the effective day to day running of The Aspire Centre.

Ultimately, we are looking for a committed candidate with an uncompromising belief that all students deserve an outstanding education. They will uphold our inclusive ethos and provide opportunities for all students to progress well.

What we are looking for:

  • Sky-high expectations around uniform, behaviour and conduct
  • A belief that all students, regardless of barriers to learning, can succeed with the right support
  • A genuine interest in young people and their learning
  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently
  • Adaptability, and a sense of humour
  • Qualifications at least to level 2 or equivalent. English and Maths at grade C/grade 4 or above
