An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, compassionate and proactive Deputy Welfare Manager to join our dedicated pastoral team.

This is a rewarding and varied role in which you will play a key part in promoting student welfare, safeguarding, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing.

Working closely with the Welfare Manager, Designated Safeguarding Leads, senior leaders, staff, parents and external agencies, you will help coordinate early intervention strategies, provide targeted pastoral support, and lead on individual student plans to remove barriers to learning.

The role includes supporting vulnerable students and their families, contributing to safeguarding and child protection processes, leading and attending multi‑agency meetings, coordinating reintegration and attendance support plans, managing welfare interventions, and deputising for the Welfare Manager when required.

You will build positive relationships with students and families, ensuring every young person feels safe, supported and able to achieve their full potential both in school and beyond.
