We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and well-connected Safeguarding & Domestic Abuse Coordinator to help us support customers and communities to thrive. This is a key role within our Communities team, leading our safeguarding and domestic abuse response from a housing perspective and helping shape a consistent, effective approach across the organisation.

You will coordinate support for customers experiencing safeguarding concerns and domestic abuse, including managing referrals, attending multi-agency meetings and maintaining clear, accurate records. Although the base location for this role is Daventry, there will be an expectation of travel to support the service in the Amber Valley area depending upon caseload and cover.

You will help ensure our response is timely, joined up and centred on customer need, while also building awareness across the organisation so colleagues feel confident identifying, responding to and reporting concerns. You will bring sound judgement, professional knowledge and the confidence to manage sensitive information appropriately in complex situations.

A good understanding of safeguarding adults and children, domestic abuse and the Care Act 2014 is essential. Experience of effective partnership working and strong networking skills are required, along with the ability to assess risk, make balanced decisions and respond sensitively to complex situations. Strong record-keeping, reporting and organisational skills are necessary, as well as good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case or housing management systems. A customer-focused, collaborative approach and excellent communication skills are also important. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work is required.

A few key points from our role profile:

  • Lead on safeguarding adults and children from a housing provider perspective, including domestic abuse case coordination and support planning.
  • Manage referrals and updates to external partners, including social care, health services and MARAC, and represent Futures at relevant multi-agency meetings and local forums.
  • Develop practical, effective safety plans and interventions that reduce risk and increase customer safety.
  • Raise awareness across the business and deliver training and guidance to colleagues and contractors.

At Futures, you will join a supportive organisation with a strong sense of purpose and a focus on helping people and communities thrive. We offer hybrid working for many roles, alongside competitive benefits including private healthcare options, mileage, discount schemes and a strong emphasis on health and wellbeing. We are also proud to hold Investors in People Platinum status and to support flexible, inclusive ways of working.

If you are looking for a role where you can make a meaningful difference to customer safety and wellbeing, we would love to hear from you. To start your Futures journey, take a look at the role profile and please note we may close vacancies early depending on application volumes, so early applications are encouraged.
