Protecting Futures
Yet another exciting Futures opportunity has us on the hunt for a part-time Governance Officer to join the team on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.
This role will provide an efficient and effective support to our boards, committees, group directors and other working groups as well as supporting the development of services/projects for partners and customers to ensure the continuation of statutory/regulatory compliance.
Youll be able to demonstrate awareness of the importance of governance, work effectively under pressure and youll definitely need that attention to detail and organisational skills of yours!
This is a part-time role with working hours of 22 Wednesday to Friday.
A few key points from our role profile:
- Maintain accurately and on a timely basis the Groups Registers e.g. statutory records, seal register, Board attendance, and Declarations of Interest.
- Work closely with Group Directors and partners to produce Board reports and ensure Board decisions and actions are communicated effectively and followed up.
- Support the implementation of sound governance arrangements, including the conduct of business and ensure legal, statutory, Regulatory Framework and best practice obligations are met.
- Provide advice and guidance to Board Directors and partners regarding governance matters, liaising as necessary with legal and other advisers. Ensure relevant/appropriate information can be accessed by Board Directors regarding sector updates, training and development opportunities to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.
