We are recruiting an experienced SENCO to join a school in Slough on an interim basis, leading the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
This opportunity would suit an organised and approachable SEND professional who can support staff, work closely with families and help pupils access the support they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school.
- Support staff to deliver inclusive teaching and appropriate interventions.
- Oversee SEND documentation, including EHCP reviews and individual support plans.
- Work with parents, carers and external professionals to coordinate support.
- Monitor pupil progress and review the effectiveness of provision.
The ideal candidate
- Experience as a SENCO or in a SEND leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
- The ability to build effective relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills.
- A commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
