Manufacturing Futures are supporting an automation-focused engineering business in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer. This role is well suited to an Electrical or Electronic Engineering graduate, or an early-career Electrical Design Engineer, looking to develop a long-term career within industrial automation and control systems.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will join a supportive and technically strong team with an excellent reputation for training and development. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will work on a range of standard and bespoke automated systems, gaining exposure to electrical design, control systems and project delivery under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Electrical Design Engineer β Role & Responsibilities β Automation / Electrical / Controls
- Design electrical and electronic control systems for automated machinery
- Produce electrical schematics and system drawings using CAD software
- Support PLC, HMI and automation programming activities
- Create BOMs and supporting technical documentation
- Work on assigned projects with guidance from a senior engineer or mentor
- Assist with technical queries and problem-solving within the engineering team
- Investigate and evaluate new automation technologies
Electrical Design Engineer β Skills & Experience β Automation / Electrical / Controls
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Experience or exposure to PLCβs and control systems
- Proficient with electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar
- Previous experience in an Electrical Design Engineer or automation-related role
- Strong desire to learn and develop within electrical and automation engineering
- UK Driving Licence
