Our client are a leading manufacturer of engineered products and due to continued growth they wish to appoint a Supplier Quality Engineer. The appointed candidate will have a practical understanding of generic quality principles and must have experience working within a supplier quality focused role for a manufacturing business. Within this role there will be occasional travel to visit suppliers in order to build stable relationships and the opportunity to develop processes and new ways of working. Supplier Quality Engineer - Role & Responsibilities - Quality Engineer / PPAP / Supply Chain / Audits / Supplier Development / Lean
* Contribute supplier development and process improvements plans, audits and performance management
* Leading the relocation of parts from one supplier to another, providing overall project management of the component transfers to a suitable conclusion
* Working with suppliers to develop a robust improvement plan
* Conduct system/process audits both internally and at potential and existing suppliers
* Liaise with suppliers and other team members to resolve problems and manage all quality related issues within the manufacturing team
* Conduct quality defect investigations and use route cause analysis to prevent any re occurrences of fault
* Work with manufacturing and design on DFM procedures to improve production cycle time

* Minimum of one years' experience in a supply quality focused position
* Personable and flexible, with a commercial outlook
* Strong people and supplier management skills with a keen eye for detail
