We are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join the engineering team and support the design, development and testing of electronic products and systems. This role would suit an engineer with around two years of commercial experience who has a good grounding in electronic hardware design alongside some embedded firmware development experience. You will be involved in projects from initial concept and design through to prototyping, testing and production support. Electronic Design Engineer - Key responsibilities Design and development of electronic circuits for new and existing products. PCB schematic capture, design and layout. Selection and evaluation of electronic components. Development and testing of prototype electronic assemblies. Writing and modifying embedded firmware for PICs, microcontrollers and similar devices. Programming primarily in C and assembler. Debugging hardware and firmware issues during product development. Using standard electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and logic analysers. Carrying out functional testing, fault finding and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and PCB assemblies. Supporting product verification, validation and design testing.
