About Future Proof Cornwall

We are not your average agency, and we are not looking for average people. At Future Proof Cornwall, we care about results, but we also care about real life. We help businesses in Cornwall and beyond thrive online with expert SEO, web design, paid advertising, and more. Our approach is simple: no fluff, just results. We cut through the noise to create tailored, ROI-driven digital marketing campaigns that help business owners and entrepreneurs grow, not just rank higher.

As we pivot towards becoming a national agency, we are expanding our leadership team. We are building a team where everyone belongs—different backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking all make the work better and the team stronger. If you love the idea of making a real difference to businesses and have the skills and the spark, you might just belong here.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Search & AI to lead our organic growth and artificial intelligence strategies. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for structuring our products, operations, reporting, and execution to help our clients build robust, long-term website, UX, and content strategies.

You will bring significant agency and SEO experience, coupled with a forward-thinking approach to integrating AI into search and content strategies. You will ensure that Future Proof Cornwall remains at the cutting edge of digital marketing, delivering exceptional, measurable results for our expanding national client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing strategic leadership by developing and implementing comprehensive, future-proof SEO and AI-driven strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Championing the integration of technical SEO, user experience (UX), and high-quality content.
  • Structuring our products and operations, refining and elevating our SEO and AI service offerings.
  • Building scalable operations, standardizing reporting frameworks, and optimizing execution processes.
  • Leading the adoption of AI tools and methodologies within the agency.
  • Mentoring, inspiring, and developing a team of SEO specialists and content creators.
  • Serving as the senior strategic point of contact for key clients.
  • Monitoring campaign performance to drive strategic pivots and demonstrate clear ROI.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in SEO, with a proven track record of success within an agency environment, particularly in managing complex, multi-faceted SEO campaigns. You must also demonstrate a strong proficiency in artificial intelligence, understanding the current AI landscape and its practical application in search, content creation, and digital marketing operations.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture and develop long-term strategies encompassing SEO, UX, and content. Operational excellence is crucial; you should have experience in building, structuring, and scaling agency operations, products, and reporting systems. You must be a natural leader who can mentor a team and foster collaboration without ego or drama. Exceptional communication skills are required to articulate complex strategies to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Ultimately, you must align with our culture: working hard but valuing real life, remaining grounded, and feeling excited about helping businesses grow on a national scale while maintaining our Cornish roots.

What to Expect

  • A hybrid working model with at least 2 days in the office per week (depending on business needs).
  • Maintaining our Cornwall roots while delivering global quality for local and national clients.
  • Ongoing opportunities to level up, from mastering new technology to hands-on training.
  • A work environment with no egos and no drama—just a solid, smart team that enjoys working together.
